Public Relation & Communication Directorate
Harar Regional Health Bureau
The voice of the Bureau — bridging the gap between health services and the community through strategic communication, media engagement, and health education across the Harar region.
Mr. Redwan Mohamed
Director of Public Relation
Directorate Profile
The Public Relation & Communication Directorate of Harar Regional Health Bureau serves as the official communication gateway between the Bureau and the public. Established to manage the Bureau's image, facilitate two-way communication with communities, and coordinate health awareness campaigns, the Directorate handles media relations, social media management, development of IEC/BCC materials, community dialogue forums, and crisis communication. It plays a critical role in disseminating accurate health information, countering misinformation, and promoting positive health behaviors across all 6 woredas of the Harar region in collaboration with federal and regional communication bodies.
Mission
To ensure timely, accurate, and culturally appropriate health communication that informs, educates, and empowers the community — building trust between the health system and the people of Harar through transparent and strategic public engagement.
