Strategic Planning

Leading the development of regional health strategic plans, including HSTP-II implementation at the regional level.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Overseeing the M&E framework for health programs to ensure accountability and data-driven decision making.

Stakeholder Coordination

Facilitating coordination between government bodies, NGOs, development partners, and community health structures.

Capacity Building

Designing and supporting capacity building initiatives for health workers and district health office staff.

Global Health Alignment

Ensuring regional health initiatives align with SDGs, WHO guidelines, and international health frameworks.

Office Mandate

Established under the Harari Regional State Health Bureau Proclamation

  • Advise the Bureau Head on all matters related to public health policy, strategy, and governance within the Harari Region.

  • Conduct research and analysis on regional health indicators, identify gaps, and recommend evidence-based interventions.

  • Review and provide input on annual health sector performance reports and budget proposals before submission to regional council.

  • Represent the Bureau in national and international health forums, conferences, and technical working groups as directed.

  • Support the development of draft legislation, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to regional public health governance.
